Information collected through this website

If you submit a consultation or contact form, the website may collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, relationship status, service interest, availability, and message. The site may also generate ordinary technical records needed for security and reliable delivery, such as an IP address, browser information, request time, and error logs.

The website does not currently use advertising trackers, sell personal information, or use submitted information for third-party marketing. If those practices change, this notice will be updated before the new use begins where required.

Service providers and retention

The website is delivered through Cloudflare and its hosting infrastructure. Information submitted through a form may be processed by Cloudflare and delivered to Harvey by email. These providers may process limited information to deliver, secure, or troubleshoot their services. Website inquiries are retained only as reasonably needed for response, security, recordkeeping, or legal obligations. Clinical records are retained according to applicable California law and professional requirements.

Please do not send sensitive clinical information through the website

The consultation form is intended for initial scheduling and general fit questions. It is not a crisis service or a secure patient portal. Please avoid including diagnoses, detailed treatment history, Social Security numbers, financial-account information, or other highly sensitive information. Email and ordinary website forms may have privacy risks despite reasonable safeguards.

Cookies, browser signals, and children

This website does not currently set optional advertising or behavioral-analytics cookies. Essential network or security technologies may still be used by the hosting provider. Because there is no uniform legal standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the site does not respond differently to them. This website is directed to adults seeking information about services and is not intended to collect information directly from children.

Your health-information rights

When applicable federal and California health-privacy laws cover your information, you may ask to:

• Inspect or obtain a paper or electronic copy of your health record, subject to limited legal exceptions.
• Correct health information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Receive communications in a particular way or at a particular place.
• Request limits on certain uses or disclosures. A requested restriction is not always required to be accepted, except where the law requires it.
• Receive an accounting of certain disclosures made during the legally applicable period.
• Receive a paper or electronic copy of this notice.
• Choose a personal representative authorized to act for you.
• File a complaint without retaliation if you believe your privacy rights were violated.

How health information may be used or disclosed

Health information may be used or disclosed as permitted or required by law for treatment, payment, and health-care operations. Examples include coordinating care with another provider when permitted, managing billing or practice operations, maintaining records, conducting quality or compliance activities, and using service providers that are legally obligated to protect the information.

Information may also be disclosed without authorization when the law permits or requires it, including certain situations involving a serious and imminent threat, suspected abuse or neglect, court or administrative proceedings, health oversight, workers' compensation, public-health activities, or law enforcement. Only the information reasonably necessary for the permitted purpose will be disclosed when that limitation applies.

Uses requiring written authorization

Uses or disclosures not otherwise permitted by law generally require your written authorization, which you may revoke in writing for future disclosures. Most uses of psychotherapy notes, most marketing uses, and any sale of protected health information require authorization except where a specific legal exception applies.

California law may provide additional protection for mental-health and psychotherapy records. Those records will not be disclosed without authorization unless a specific law permits or requires disclosure. Records protected by federal substance-use-disorder confidentiality law will receive the additional protections required by that law, including restrictions on their use in legal proceedings absent written consent or a qualifying court order.

Your choices

When the law gives you a choice, you may tell Harvey whether information may be shared with family, friends, or others involved in your care or payment. In an emergency or when you are unable to state a preference, professional judgment and applicable law may permit limited disclosure believed to be in your best interest.

Harvey does not sell protected health information. Information will not be used for marketing in a way that requires authorization without first obtaining that authorization.

Practice responsibilities

• Maintain the privacy and security of protected health information as required by applicable law.
• Notify affected individuals when a breach of unsecured protected health information requires notice.
• Follow the duties and privacy practices described in the notice currently in effect.
• Provide a copy of this notice upon request and post the current notice on this website.
• Not use or share information other than as described here unless you authorize it in writing or the law otherwise permits or requires it.

This notice may be revised. A revised notice will apply to information already maintained as well as information received in the future, and the current version will be posted here with its effective date.
